The Chapel was restored in
1848, the notice (Top) is a copy of an original issued before its
reopening. The interior picture (above right) hangs on a wall inside
the chapel. On the wall behind the pulpit is a plaque in memory of
William Merson and his wife Betty and a number of their children,
William was the great great grandfather of Martha Merson Frost who
kindly provided these photographs. |
| The chapel recently acquired a beautiful rose window for
the front of the building. Nearby is Waterhouse Farm, where the
Merson family resided from the late 17th century until the middle of
the 19th century. The Chapel was reopened after restoration in 1848. |
